Install Sky Player Software
Download TV programmes and watch when you're offline by installing the free Sky Player software. This software is optional, but it will help you enjoy the Sky Player experience to the full on your PC.
With Sky Player Software you can:
· watch programmes offline
· ensure top-quality viewing, even with a slow internet connection
· buy programmes to keep
· bookmark programmes to watch later
· remote download from another computer
What you should know
· Sky Player Software is a safe, 10MB download. (You may also be prompted to install other Microsoft software during installation.)
· Sky Player Software is not currently available for Macs or Linux.
· The Sky Player Software uses secure peer-2-peer technology, which means that your computer will automatically share programmes you've downloaded with other Sky Player users. This is done by software called Kontiki (including KService and KHost) as part of the installation..
Your registered computer
You can only use Sky Player Software on one computer, which is automatically registered with us as your main computer the first time you sign in after installation.
If you want to use Sky Player Software on a different computer simply install again, launch the software and sign in to update your registration. You can only make changes to your registered computers once per month. If you're having problems you can call our Customer Services team on 08442 411 599 for help.
If you use ‘Remote Download’ from a different computer, and your registered computer is turned on, downloading will start and your programmes will be ready to watch when you return home.
