What you need to know

You can watch Sky Player live TV in your web browser on up to 4 computers. All you need is a recent PC or Intel-based Mac, with broadband from any provider. You'll need to install the Microsoft Silverlight 3.0 browser plug-in if you haven't got it already.

You can only watch Sky Movies Screen 1 and Screen 2 on your main registered computer or Xbox 360.

Not all programmes are available – parts of the schedule will be ‘blacked out’ until the rights are cleared and they are available to show online. Details of exactly which programmes are currently blacked out can be found in our Live TV FAQs

You can choose from three viewing quality levels – low, medium and high. The high setting gives a great viewing experience; you'll hardly notice the difference to the quality on your television.

Picture and sound quality will depend on your broadband connection speed, your computer hardware, and whatever else you are using your computer for at the time.

Only one computer or Xbox 360 per household can be used to view live TV channels on Sky Player at any one time. Viewers must be entitled subscribers or members of their household – abuse could result in the suspension of viewing rights.
