What does pay per view mean?

When you download a pay per view video, you get up to 7 days to watch it for the first time. After the first viewing you can then watch it as many times as you like for 48 hours.

What does buy to own mean?

If you download a movie as buy to own, you get to a license for the video for 100 years. The video can only be viewed on the PC it was downloaded to, however you can download the video up to 5 times at no extra cost (providing the video is still available on Sky Player). You may also wish to back up the video and license onto disk in case anything goes wrong with your PC.

What does Bonus mean?

Bonus videos are available to Sky subscribers, with the appropriate subscription and at no extra charge.

How can I subscribe to the Sky Player Sports channel?

If you don't have Sky Sports as part of your Sky package you can subscribe to the Sky Player Sports channel to catch up on all the latest sporting events from Sky Sports. To subscribe to the Sky Player Sports channel simply go to the channel on Sky Player and click subscribe from the left hand menu, then follow the on screen prompts. If you don't already have one you will be asked to set up a Sky Player payment account.

I've changed my PC, can I download my buy to own videos again?

If you have purchased a video as buy to own you can download it up to 5 times at no extra charge. If the video is still available, simply click on the download button. If you have already downloaded the video 5 times you will have to pay for the video to download it again.

What is the Sky Player payment account?

The Sky Player payment account is an online account that enables you to register your payment details so that you and your family can pay for Sky Player programmes in a safe and convenient way. Your payment details will be securely stored and will not be accessible to any third party.

How do I create A Sky Player payment account?

1. Log into Sky Player.

2. Select Account & Settings from the options at the top of the screen.

3. You will then be asked to login to Sky Player.

4. Click on the link to go the 'Secure Payment Site'

5. You will be asked to log into the secure payment site, this uses the same username and password as Sky Player.

6. Fill out the required details and click the create account button at the bottom.

If you wish you can also add funds into your account to be used at a later date.

How can I pay for videos?

Once you have found the video you want to download, click on the pay per view or buy to keep button, this will take you to the payment options screen (if you haven't set up a Sky Player payment account you will be prompted to do so). Two options will be displayed you can either pay with your pre pay wallet (if you don't have enough funds in your prepay wallet, an option to add funds will be displayed) or pay with the card details stored on your account, select the option you wish to use and click ok.

How do I update my personal details?

To update any of the details on your Sky Player payment account, click on account and settings in Sky Player and select prepay wallet. You will then be asked to log in to your Sky Player payment account, the username and password used are the same as those for your Sky Account. Once logged in select 'set up a credit or debit card' and complete the required information. Please note this only updates your Sky Player payment account, it does not update your Sky account. If you require to update your Sky account you should contact Sky customer services.

How can I check what programmes I have paid for?

To check your previous orders simply click on 'Review Order History' when logged in to your Sky Player payment account, a list of all your orders will then be displayed.

Why is my Sky Player payment account closed/suspended?

This can happen due to a period of inactivity on the account. To correct this please get in touch with Sky Customer Services.
