What's the latest with Sky Player on Xbox 360?

Since experiencing technical issues arising from the first week's unprecedented demand for the service, we have been implementing a gradual rollout of Sky Player on Xbox 360. As of Friday 6th November 2006, 100% of the Xbox base can access Sky Player, and tens of thousands of new users are accessing the service daily.

The quality of the service remains of the utmost importance to both Sky and Xbox, and as such we will run further testing and continue to monitor the service closely.

How do I install Sky Player on my Xbox 360?

We're currently rolling Sky Player on Xbox 360 out. Once available you can access Sky Player from Video Marketplace in Xbox LIVE.

What do I need to watch TV with Sky Player on Xbox 360?

To use Sky Player on Xbox 360, you will need:

- An Xbox 360 connected to Xbox LIVE

- Xbox LIVE Gold membership

- Broadband internet connection (with effective line bandwidth of at least 2Mbps or above)

- A Sky iD username and password

I've installed Sky Player but I can’t find it any more?

If you have downloaded the Sky Player application and it's not appearing in Video Marketplace any more you can still launch the application by following these steps:

Press the guide button (The green Xbox logo in the centre of your controller)

Select the second option from the top which is Quick Launch

Go right, 1 tab to your Latest Downloads

Select Sky Player in the download list

Can I use the my existing Sky iD username to sign in?

Yes, if you already have a Sky iD to access Sky online services such as Sky Player, My Sky and Sky Songs you can just sign in with your existing username and password.

Where do I sign up for a Sky iD?

If you don't already have one, sign up for a Sky iD now. Anyone can create a Sky iD, you don't need to be a Sky TV customer.

Can I use Sky Player on more than one Xbox?

No. You can only sign in and watch TV on the Xbox 360 console you have registered with Sky Player. Registration occurs automatically the first time you sign in to Sky Player and you can only have one Xbox 360 console (and up to four computers) registered at any one time.

I need to use Sky Player on a different Xbox?

To sign in and watch TV on a different Xbox 360 you will need to remove the registration of your existing Xbox 360 first. You can only change your registered Xbox or computers once a month. Manage your registered Xbox 360 console in 'Accounts & Settings : Registered Devices' More info

Can I use more than one Xbox LIVE account?

Yes, you can use any Xbox LIVE Gold account to use Sky Player on your registered Xbox 360 console.

Will I have to enter my password every time I use Sky Player?

No, your Sky iD username and password will be stored securely on your Xbox allowing you to sign in without re-entering your password. If you have children using your Xbox you should enable Sky Player parental controls. More info to ensure they cannot access inappropriate content.

How do I enable parental controls?

You can enable Sky Player parental controls in 'Accounts & Settings : Parental Controls' More info

To set, retrieve or reset you Sky Player parental controls you can PIN manage your profile on My Sky

What channels are available on Xbox?

All the channels that are available on Sky Player on your computer with the exception of BBC channels, Sky Box Office and Sky Box Office World.
