Brush with Fame

Brush with Fame

In September 1995, John Myatt was arrested by Scotland Yard detectives for his part in what has been described as the biggest art fraud of the 20th century. But after serving less than four months in prison for his part in the crime, Myatt's commissioned portraits and 'genuine fakes' are now worth thousands in their own right. In this six-part series, Myatt uses his talent for mimicking famous artists to paint portraits of celebrities, including John Cleese, David Bailey, Jane Horrocks, Robin Gibb and Ian Brown, in the styles of the greats, from Cézanne to Van Gogh.
